By Reed & Son retailed French miniature gilt brass timepiece circa 1880

3.5-cm enamel dial with Roman numerals and fine blued hands signed below for the retailer 'Reed & Son Cambridge', 8-day movement with platform cylinder escapement, moulded gilt brass case surmounted by a carrying handle inset at the top and all sides with bevelled glass panels. A lovely small collectible timepiece of good quality and in good condition.
The signature refers to Thomas Reed (father) and Alfred Reed (son) working in Cambridge.
