A very nice charming untouched Chronometer from the famous Brequet workshop nr 4586 made in 1912.

The mahogany case with nice bronze details.The good untouched brass movement. Silvered dial with Roman nrs Blue steeled hands.Two apertures above for the 49 hour power reserve.By Nr 6 the rotating second hand.Spring detent escapement according to Thomas Earnshaw, chain/fusee, bimetallic chronometer balance with 2 screws and 2 weights. Vintage watches and old timer cars are a favorite motif in advertising and relevant magazines. And what we have here ia a similar, quite striking context-Ford Motor & Cie. a long -etablished motor company from the early days from the automobile purchased a chronometer by renewed maker BREQUET. Henry Ford was known from his great intrest in yachts and sailing and owned several large yachts, which he used this precision instrument on.

This chronometer is in a very good untouched condition. . Certificate of origin is with the clock.
