Description

White marble case with fine ormolu mounts surmounted by an urn with flowers, flanked by two ‘bon Sauvages’. The man and the woman on griotte rouge marble circular bases, appear to be declaring their love by the gift of a bird. The 8 day spring driven movement with half hour striking on a bell and anchor escapement. White enamel 10cm dial with Roman numerals signed ‘a Paris’. Engraved gilt ‘Directoire’ bronze hands.
